Governance

Governance is the combination of processes by which an organisation ensures that it is operating so that it can achieve its objectives and demonstrate compliance with proper standards of probity. To do this we are required to maintain a number of policies the details of which are set out below. Click on the box to see the details of the policies concerned.

Members Learning and Development Strategy

Members of the Pensions Authority and Local Pension Board need to ensure that they have an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding in order to make decisions in relation to the Pension Fund. This strategy sets out the process for ensuring that this is the case.

Annual Governance Statement

Each year as part of the process of producing our annual report and accounts we have to review our compliance with the Local Code of Corporate Governance and identify areas for improvement. These are set out in this statement which is reviewed by our External Auditors.
